Parent Training & Coaching

Parenting is the hardest job on earth. Many parents are trying to do increasingly more for their kids, with fewer resources and less social support than in generations past.

Often, two (or more) co-parents were raised in different environments themselves and have trouble getting on the same page when it comes to their children. Issues such as divorce, death of a parent, economic hardship, blended families and cultural issues can make things even more complex.

Some Common Parenting Questions

Whether you are a single parent working on your own, or part of a blended family with several adults trying to cooperate on parenting, it can be helpful to have an objective professional to assist you in navigating discipline dilemmas and other tough issues of raising children. I can't provide answers, but I can offer suggestions and structure to help you parent more effectively.

When a child is struggling with his own issues, sometimes the most immediate way to help is to provide parents with tools and skills to use at home. I regularly work with parents as a supplement to their children's therapy -- giving parents an outlet for frustration and helping enforce the lessons and concepts of the child's therapy at home.

I also frequently conduct parenting workshops and seminars in the community.
